Eco Terrorists meet their match when they tangle with 4WD adventurers!

If you love a bit of action, a bit of adventure – and a bit of mud – this is the film for you!

As part of the 4WD and Adventure Shows’ new movie night, you can see the exciting film Rough Stuff, starring Gareth Rickards and written and directed by Jonathan Adams.

Rough Stuff is the action-packed story of an activist group making a dubious deal with treasure-seeking Rovers and their modified four-wheel-drives for an expedition through treacherous Australian terrain. The joint quest is for a legendary lost stash of stolen gold that the activists claim to want to protect from a multinational mining company, and that the Rovers want for themselves. Tensions rise and ulterior motives are revealed with exciting off-road chases, daring rescues and amazing discoveries.

Writer-director Jonathan Adams said he wanted to create an Aussie film that was entertaining, high-energy and fun, but without pandering and losing that personal touch…basically a film that he himself would like to see!

“I have varied tastes in movies, so this film is quite quirky in a lot of ways, like a mash-up of an Indie ensemble comedy and an old-fashioned Hollywood western. I also wanted to make something uniquely Australian, something that takes advantage of how exotic this country really is,” Jonathan said.

Sounds interesting? You bet!

Rough Stuff will be screened at the 4WD and Adventure Show on Friday 13th October from 6pm at the Fourby Forum Stage area. Bring the family, there will be food and drinks on sale; and the 4WD Clubs will be collecting donations for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Entry to the movie night is included in your Show ticket, but is only for the Friday of the Show weekend. Get your tickets online here!
